Subject: Alternatives

This is Alternatives(title isn't fixed).  It is my offering for a new
Spontaneous Round Robin this year. No rules except please don't use to
many cross overs.

Earth was a spinning globe in space, where man kind first arose
from the waters, to conquer the land, then the seas, followed by
the air.  When it appeared man had reached the end of conquering
new domains, man touch space and from there, man had no where to
go but forward.

Man touched the sky and began his quest for conquering the latest
domain.  No sooner then he gets there, then he is given a present
by strangers.  Man accepts this treasure and  moves on ahead, on
his endless quest...

Man meets new things, faces extinction and lives.... He faces
cold and lives...

Finally when it looked like man has seen the face of all and
lives, he sees a shadow and flinches.  The flinch costs man much
in the grand scheme of things... But matters of the universe are
rarely the thing on the minds of the indivdual human...  No the
world spins and the thin that brought us continues... The
spinning orb in space continues to spin, regardless of man's
flinch.

Earth has it's own problem.  The flinch is not their's alone to
bare.  The flinch is the result of many indivduals... and so are
tale begins.  On earth.  Where man's tale orginally began.
